My goal when opening Pink Poodle Spa, was to create the ultimate grooming
experience for pets and owners alike. I practice holistic lifestyle grooming.
What does this mean to you, the pet owner? In short, it means that I care about
the whole picture of your pet's life. Grooming is a symbiotic relationship
between pet owner, groomer, and veterinarian. We all play a part in caring for
your pet. My role is to make sure the grooming is as stress free as possible.
By using all natural products, having a pesticide free environment, using the
most modern equipment available, having a large play area to reduce crate
time, and attending as many educational events as possible, I am able to be a
valued member of your pets triangle of caregivers.
I have been grooming for over 30 years. There are few breeds that I haven't
groomed and for those I haven't seen, I maintain a large network of breeders,
trainers, and groomer friends whose resources I can draw from. Pink Poodle
Spa is not just for poodles. I groom all breeds. Some of the most recent breeds
that have visited our shop for grooming are cocker spaniels, skye terriers,
schnauzers (giant, miniature, and standard), yorkie poo's, maltipoo's, irish
setters, springer spaniels, westie's, beardies, a black russian terrier, a
portugese water dog, dachsunds, chihuahuas, Doodles of all varieties and of
course poodles. I have groomed several best in show dogs over the years.
Currently I am grooming a giant schnauzer and a wire haired fox terrier for show
owners. I have a large variety of clients with designer dogs and love to see the
amazing array of colors and sizes of these new breeds.
The term lifestyle grooming is one that I came up with as I was teaching a class
in atlanta on grooming tips. It means that I will groom your pet to fit your lifestyle.
While I can groom to exact breed standards, many pets just need a cut/style
that suits their owners lifestyle. Owning a dog doesn't mean you have to keep it
in a breed cut if something shorter and more functional will do. I will work with
you to create the perfect style for your pet. Lifestyle grooming also means that I
make appointments based upon the needs of my clients. Most of my clients are
ready to go home within 2 hours. I do not rush and I only book one dog per
appointment period. I have appointments available all during the day, some
evenings, and every other saturday.
